Walked up km15 at the gorge. Evidence of a size 1 storm slab at the top ridge skiers right in the steeper trees (which we avoided), appeared to be skier triggered recently. First skier in our group triggered a large whumph under skier 2&3s feet while dropping in from the top of the ridge. Dry loose to size 1 in steeper terrain. Red was old recent size 1 slab. 30cm of low density new snow on March 5th crust, which was reactive to snow pack tests. CTM16 sudden collapse on graupel on top of March 5 crust. ECTX. Progressively resistant snowpack overlaying Jan30 PWL.
