Observed multiple (10+) small avalanches on hwy 97 roadsides and other slopes in size 0.5-1.5. All on steep north aspects. They appear to be about 24 hours old. The one in the photos at least was failing on a surface hoar layer above a hard crust down about 20 cm. Below the crust is mostly facets and depth hoar to ground.
