Weather

Felt like spring. Winds were light SSW/5mph. Very warm. (Clouds increased later in the afternoon).

Snowpack

Had been concerned that surfaces, even on north, might show the effects of the cloudy warm wx of previous days. Surprised to find dry but very settled/supportive snow on all northerly aspects. E to SE aspects were showing the affects of the warm up with rapid surface melting - likely to become a 3-4 cm crust with cooling. All these NE-E-SE slopes near & below treeline showed the affects of recent winds - fat with large pillows and stout.

Avalanche

Last natural activity seems to have occurred with winds on Sunday 16th. Reports of triggered slides still trickling in but may be waning.
