8" of snow fell today between 6am and 9am. Snow showers the rest of the day with no wind.

New snow is not bonding well to the variety of snow surfaces from facets below treeline to hard wind slabs near treeline. Although the new snow isn't bonding well it also did not show any slab characteristics.--- I was able to get some very small loose dry avalanches going on steep slopes below treeline. The sluffs are increasing in speed and volume and gouging into old facets.--- There was no wind at ridgetop today. We now have a good amount of low-density snow ready to be transported with next increase in wind.
