Weather

Nymph Lake 9,700ft, East/North east aspect. Below freezing temps with calm winds out of the east @ 11am. Temps gradually dropping through out the day with winds increasing, light to moderate wind gusts below treeline @ 1430. Scattered sky conditions prevailed through most of the day.

Snowpack

Nymph Lake, E/NE aspect, 9,700ft. HS=140cm , HST 30-40cm. T-surface = -12degreesC. 2 separate compression tests revealed hard results. 1st = CTH , collapse at 130cm down on large angular facets near the ground. 2nd test CTH, failed 66cm down on 1.5-2mm buried graupel. Observed aproxx. 10cm of buried facets near the ground at this location.
