Weather
Hot, clear and dry. Spring like in January. East facing couloir at 11,200', just south of the prominent butte on the ridge to Little Skiers peak.
Snowpack
We skinned up the steep ridge just south of the ridge we descended, regretting the late start. The snow was warming up quickly, but the rain crust from earlier in January was supportable enough to make the skin up reasonable. We dug a pit near to a pit from the previous week. We had some suspect collapsing the week before and wanted to have a closer look at what was causing the problem. East facing, 11, 200' The surface was wet with water percolated down to the crust layer. We did find evidence of the SH everyone keeps reporting. There was also SH on the surface.
