Snowpack

Snowpack: Snow surface is DF’s in protected areas, rough texture windpacked grains at higher elevations, and thin MF crusts on steeper southeast through southwest aspects below treeline. Observed some minor NSF above the crusts. Avalanche Activity: Explosive control on W aspects above treeline produced two notable slides on crossloaded gullies with crown heights ranging from 8" to 24" failing at the interface of last week's snow. (SS-AB-R2D2-I and SS-AE-R2D1.5-I) Lots of snowmobile activity around Robinson Basin with no avalanches.
