3-4" new, very wet at bottom, likely on softened/wet crust. wind-loaded 12-18" deep below cornice.
Avalanche
Montgomery Pass Bowl, 11,300' east aspect. Natural, soft slab, 140 yards wide, near or at base of storm snow, 12-18" crown right below cornice, ran up to 150 vertical feet. Appeared to have happened very early Sunday morning, 3/26/17. Looker's-left side ran down the swale 150 vertical feet to the sloping bench. Looker's right side ran only 50 vertical feet, mostly piling up on the high platform where people often rip their skins off before skiing down either the left or right swale. Appeared to have slid on the wet interface at base of storm snow, but not sure.
