Snowpack very reactive and scary near treeline 2/22. Lots of collapsing, shooting cracks on low angle terrain.
Avalanche cycle was very impressive. Spotted 18 large avalanches from summit of Buckeye Peak. All hard slabs, mostly below cornices, near and above treeline on east and southeast aspects.
