Broken sky with intermittent light snow. Wind was light to moderate

Snowpack

Snowpack was quite stable. Neither pit observations nor skiing showed much movement within the snow, beyond sluffing of the top layer. New snow ranged from 4 to 8 inches, depending on wind transfer. New snow was extremely light, so while it was not well bonded to the layers below it, there was very little cohesion or slab characteristics. Pit revealed a right-side up snowpack, with a possible, but not visible, facet layer about 30-35cm below the surface.
