Weather

Very strong winds at ridgelines. Moderate speeds and erratic directions below TL. Very top of Pikes Peak was above the cloud deck off to the east when I drove over. On my way home it was totally obscured in cloud. I'm not sure, but the air over the Sangre de Cristos looked very 'dirty' on my drive down.

Snowpack

Winds had done a lot of work in this drainage. Newer snow depth ranged from 4" to 0 depending on exposure to wind. The recent snow seemed well bonded to old snow surface.
