Weather

Bluebird...zero clouds...zero wind. Warm but holding surface conditions at upper elevations and northerly aspects.

Snowpack

4-6" of cold snow on a hard, supportable base. Traversing steeper terrain at elevation could benefit from a ski crampon with snow easily sluffing on slick base. Below treeline, cold snow on shaded aspects or in dark timber.

Avalanche

Loose, point release surface slides on terrain > 40 degrees near rock features.
