Quick report

Went up Diadem Creek to the bottom of the head wall, and found easy skiining the whole way. Spooky hollow wind slabs found in the alpine, up to 20cm deep. 10cm of new snow atop a supportive January crust/interface in sheltered treeline areas. The crust and refrozen tree bombs made for sporty skiing below treeline. Light snow for much of the day, variable winds building to strong in the afternoon, temps around freezing, and lots of blowing snow. Ambivalence Falls and company look fun, but there would be wallowing between pitches. No views of Humble Horse today.
