Light snowfall on and off through the day. About 5 cm of new snow since yesterday, and settled HST ranges from 20 cm near Ohio Pass and 30 cm near ridgetop. cloud cover: overcast; wind loading: light; rain elevation (ft): below valley floor; recent snowfall (cm): 20 to 30; snow avail for transport: moderate amounts

Snowpack

Thin, soft crusts formed yesterday on E to S aspects NTL below today's snowfall.  . No signs of instability other than a few triggered avalanches on steep terrain features.

Avalanche

A handful of small (D1) storm slabs ran yesterday on northerly and east aspects N/BTL. Today, we triggered a small storm slab near Rock Chute, (D1, NE, NTL) and another party remotely triggered a larger one in Northwest Bowl (D1.5, NW, NTL). More interestingly, in East Bowl, I ski cut a small persistent slab on a steep rocky rollover; (D1, NE, BTL).
