Skied a variety of aspects between 1930m and 2270m, treeline and alpine features. On sunny slopes, the top 5cm of snow was sticky, heavy and moist (perfect snowball snow) by noon. Shady slopes stayed dry and the ski quality here was quite good with my skis penetrating 15-20cm in most places. Some wide-open and wind exposed slopes had a nasty breakable wind skin (about 5cm thick) which wasn't an issue to uptrack through, but would be less than stellar to ski down. I saw 4 cornices fall from Crowfoot and Bowcrow while I was out today, they all broke up into small pieces by the time they hit the slopes below and none of them triggered a subsequent slab avalanche. Skin wax was helpful today and so was giving the cornices lots of space.
