Broken skies from 1pm till 4pm becoming obscured when incoming storm arrived as we exited and started snowing lightly

Quick test pit at 11200 feet on due NE aspect revealed 19cm of basal facets , 43cm light consolidated snow with a thin layer of facets forming on the surface. HS63cm, STE, CT8 Q1 44cm down, ECTP11 44cm down, both failing at faceted layer at bottom of the snowpack
