Weather

Spring mix that never breached melt freeze temps. Clear morning skies gave way to intermittent snow showers. Westerly winds, consistently moderate by mid day, were moving snow at ridge top level but not near or below treeline.

Snowpack

Snowpack is 3m deep in many spots near and below treeline on the north side of the range. Upper 1.5m devoid of significant weak layers, with much of upper snowpack right side up, trending from 1 finger settled rounds to 4 finger and fist hardness snow at the snow surface. The new daytime snow totalled 3-4", and was sluffing on steep northerlies. North aspects otherwise cold, soft, and bomber skiing.
