Weather

Showers started over the high peaks around mid-day, but no noticeable accumulation during the day, and notably no rain.

Snowpack

Discontinuous snow cover on most slopes below 9,000' where recent melt has drained to the ground. Numerous glide cracks up to around 10,500' in the Ohio Creek Valley, but no Glide Slab avalanches.

Avalanche

Close to Crested Butte, only one small fresh glide slab observed today, adjacent to one that ran Tuesday. One very large avalanche north of West Elk Peak that ran recently (no loading on crown face).
