Weather
Partly cloudy, cool and a little windy on Sunday the 15th. Solid overnight freeze, temperature in the teens. Maximum bluebird today, the 16th, clear skies, sunny and warm.
Snowpack
Traveled on NW-N-E-SE aspects near and below treeline Sunday and today. No signs of instability. Tried to push some wet snow down into a known path on a SE aspect without success, recent snow seemed to be adhering well to the old snow surface. Northerly aspects along the Divide felt solid, surface sluffing was minimal at best.
Avalanche
No observed avalanche activity in the South San Juan Wilderness or along the Highway 160 corridor with perfect visibility today.
