Weather
Beautiful day, warmed up nicely, clear sky and mostly calm- light breeze BTL-NTL. ATL, low density new snow swirled in the moderate, mainly WNW wind.
Snowpack
BTL, NE-E-SE no collapsing, shallow, less than 20"(50cm), weak faceted to ground. (boot/ski Pen) ground/11"(28cm). 4-6 inches of new snow. NTL, E-SE-S, frequent isolated collapsing, HS 75-105cm(~3'). 28cm(11") of very soft, low density, new snow capped crust/facet combo over a 1 finger hard, 28-35cm thick slab that rests over 25-30cm of weak facets. I found Moderate, sudden collapsing and propagating results during snowpack tests failing at slab/basal facet interface. (Boot/ski Pen) ground/11"(28cm). 9-11 inches of new snow. ATL, Drifting, light-moderate swirling winds, mainly WNW.
