Overcast, strong southwest winds and snowing S1 to S-1 all day.

The new storm snow is well bonded to the old snow surface and did not pose a concern in this area. A layer of small (1-2mm) near-surface facets is buried around 50cm deep but is unreactive in snowpack tests. The surface hoar layer buried on February 2 is now 85cm deep, and also unreactive in snowpack tests. The mid and lower snowpack is mainly comprised of 1F hard slabs.
