Conditions report

Location
Crowfoot Glades

My partner and I went out to dig a Test Profile and do multiple different snowpack tests at Crowfoot Glades today. We stayed in tight trees far from runout zones and avoided overhead hazard because of the potential to remote trigger. The conditions as expected are dangerous. We experienced numerous settlements while travelling around the trees in low angle terrain. The snowpack is going to take time to heal.
Our test profile at 2160m had a snow depth of 180cm. Ski penetration was 35cm with foot penetration of 140cm! As soon as we took off skis to dig our profile we had a large settlement (Whumpf)! No surprise its sketchy!
Our test results:
CTM (11,14) SP down 82cm on Feb 2nd PWL.
ECTP (24) SP down 82cm .
PST 25/100 End down 82cm

Stay disciplined and play safe if you venture out into avalanche terrain.
