Weather

8" new snow at road level; increasing to 10"+ upper elevations. Dense (not February's 6-7%) but not slabby. Winds L at our elevations, though some plumes off higher ridges in afternoon. Surprisingly cold in the shade.

Snowpack

New snow over thin but supportable MF crust below ~10000 ft. On supportable old snow above that elevation, except steep sunny slopes. Probing with pole showed soft, weak snow near the ground.

Avalanche

A few minor/ micro natural sluffs, most widespread on westerly terrain at end of day.
