Skies were broken to scattered. Winds were strong but not effectively loading.

Snowpack

Snowpack is completely faceted below treeline in this area. BTL snow depth is about 90cms. Near treeline the snowpack consists mostly of faceted grains with 2 to 4 inches of new and wind-drifted snow at the surface. The faceting slab did not produce any results in an ECT and we got 30/100 END in a PST. The weakest layer is depth hoar 40cms from the ground. It is unlikely that you would trigger an avalanche with this weakening slab.---In the looker left portion of the Graveline Gulch start zone the HS ranges from 60 to 90 cms. The snowpack is mostly faceted with a thin and supportable wind-drifted slab near the surface. All wind slabs were well bonded to underlying crusts and old surfaces and there were no signs that they were reactive.
