Sky's clear in the am with building high clouds by lunch. Temps crisp in the morning and warming to high 20's by lunch. Light breezy winds were no reason to put on the shell.
Snowpack
SP felt hollow and weak at the start. As we acended the trail I stomped on steep test slopes above the creek with no results. Snow pit @ 10k, HS 70cm, 40 degrees, East aspect, ECTN 23, Q3. We rode slopes up to 40 degrees one at a time in the trees. The sunny snow @ 10k was creamy but not moist, remaining light and rideable. Our Tele teammate was cutting deep into the snowpack without causing any cracking or settling on our two runs.
