Weather
Clouds built quicky during the morning hours. Southwest winds blew moderate to strong for a majority of the tour. Limited sunshine and cold temperatures for April.
Snowpack
Overnight temperatures refroze the snow surface at all elevations. Strong wind and mild temperatures led to limited observations of the surface softening. A stout crust observed on all areas traveled and the snow surface was supportive to riders on snow machines even off trail. In some shallow areas boot penetration was knee deep but the snowpack was primarily made of wet snow grains.
