Heavy snow this morning (S5) eased as the day progressed then increased in the afternoon. Temperatures were very warm, 32F at pass level in the afternoon. Winds were not a factor. At 0430; 17" of new snow with 1.85" of water content. At 1300, an additional 8.5" of snow with 1.0" of water content. Storm total as of 1300; 30" of snow with 3.1" of water content.

The road is so narrow now that almost any avalanche release will reach the inside lane.
