Snowpack

I dug on a ENE slope near treeline and found varying depths of 150-200cm. Jason dug near to me in a snowpack that was well over 200cm. In both locations we found some thin layers of buried near surface facets under a thick slab, but they were well bonded and did not propagate in stability tests (ECTX in my location). The snowpack is well developed in deeper protected areas. Thick slabs of dense snow cap weaker layers of well bonded facets in the lower snowpack. This is a best case snowpack, where other aspects and elevations that are thinner will likely be weaker and more dangerous.
