Snow showers and heavy winds from the South at 12,400 ft at Commodore Gulch

Snowpack

Snowpack appeared unstable on some aspects with whumphing and cracking observed at every convexity steeper than 30 degrees on N and NE aspects around 11,500 ft in Commodore Gulch. Wind/storm slabs observed cracking at Chatanooga bend (see photo).

Avalanche

None but lot of whumphing and cracking. Observed what appeared to be a small wind slab break on S aspect at 10,500 ft located right off road at Chatanooga bend (see photo).
