Weather
Beautiful start to a May Sunday morning. Few clouds, quickly warming temperatures, and very little wind.
Snowpack
Snow continues to melt and covered near and below treeline is spotty at best. Where there is snow, the surface this morning was refrozen and supportive to my boot penetration 90 percent of the time. The only places I did break through were very shallow spots and on the edges of snow patches. Shady alpine slopes continue to hold decent coverage and corn popped by 9am on a northwest facing slope. Lots of water continues to be observed moving in the mountains.
Avalanche
No new avalanche activity observed.
