Clear, light westerly breeze, temperature near freezing

Observations targeted at the persistent slab problem. 20-30cm of snow from a recent storm (11/23) observed. Underneath, we saw a ~10 cm of thick faceted layer of ~1 mm grains (layer of concern), which was on top of a 5 cm thick layer of smaller grained facets on the ground, with highly visible interface between the layers. Performed a propagation saw test (PST) to assess propagation tendency of faceted grains near the ground. PST 20/120 SF (x2) down 25 cm (mid facet layer)
