Weather

Scattered clouds. Had warmed enough to affect the snow. We were on a NE facing slope above tree line at about 11,750. This was just above crater lakes in the IPW

Snowpack

18” of new snow, the top had warmed and was sticking to itself.

Avalanche

My second turn released a lot of sluff that gained momentum as it swept downhill. It moved very slow, but went quite far. The debris pile was perhaps 3’ deep
