Wind slab up high, stepped down after collapse mid snowpack on the W side of the path that propagated all the way up from 11,800 where skiers were

Avalanche

S aspect. Crown 12,300. WS-ASr-R4-D2.5 The main slide was definitely wet slab. And early, around 9:30-10am, which caught us off guard (we were about to cross that path as a group - 3 had already crossed). Propagating upward, a wind slab collapsed near the ridge so there are 2 crows visible in the photo.
