Partly cloudy, initially still with winds building throughout the day and gusting close to 30mph by 4pm. Base of Couloir on rib near small Aspen grove, SSW aspect, 11,200 elev

75cm depth; top to bottom: Down to 60cm- loose (fist) powder 55cm- pencil-hard crust 25cm- loose facets, 4 finger hardness 15cm- 1 finger crust To base - fist hardness powder At same location, column test: Collapse after 6 hard full-arm-fist taps (CT 26), with propagation down about 8 inches depth At same location, failed at RB5 with similar propagation; see photo
