No signs of instability when skinning or riding. Made it past treeline but stopped when slopes became larger steeper and more exposed. Our compression test was mid way up a supported test slope, storm snow failed 3 times on medium and hard taps. The problem persistent layers failed on the upper end of our hard taps. Although the storm has passed there is still potential for avalanches with heavily loaded weak layers of surface hoar and crust. It is settling slowly with cold weather. Detailed summary in snowpack section. Snow quality was great on the ride down, we avoided all convexities in rolling terrain. There was a slight crust forming around 1700m. Some avalanche debris from previous storm. Great day!
