Weather

Mostly cloudy, breezy, cold

Snowpack

South aspect, 11,000 feet, below treeline, 28° at pit site. 155 cm total depth. 15 cm storm snow, then typical mix of crusts, mid pack slab and basal facets. ECTNR. That said, with light shovel leverage, column broke very cleanly across full column on a 4cm thick sun crust at 70cm. Excellent skiing.

Avalanche

None observed on south/south easterly aspect I was traveling on and had eyesight on.
