Nice, warm, calm day.

Snowpack

The reason i wanted to dig is because the snowpack in this area is so much different than it usually is. Usually the whole zone is facets to ground. There was some supportiveness to the pack. I wanted to see what was under the firmer snow to see if it was an avalanche hazard. With an ECTP18 i feel like there is potential for slab avalanches, but it would still take finding the spot to make it happen. The supportive snow made for awesome skiing conditions.
