Sunny , strong winds out of the NW, lots of snow transport.

Snowpack

Variable. Crown 5+ feet that tapered to 6” where snow pack was super thin. Three distinct bed surfaces observed.

Avalanche

Remote trigger from boot pack. Large whumph observed with simultaneous release of wind loaded roll over that exposed a crown 5-6 foot crown. Snow was very stiff, three separate bed surfaces observed. Only ran a short distance to lower angle grass and rocks. Estimated R3D2.
