We rode low angle south facing trees & the snow was warming and getting heavy. We noted a surface hoar forming around 2250 m. Overall stability was good however there was a few small whumpfs on the ridge top. We also noticed an older size 2 avalanche on a steeper slope in a southeast alpine bowl below some cliffs.
