My son and I skied a quick lap of a glade line that we had seen on a previous tour. BTL, south facing, 35 to 40 degrees. We dug a pit and accomplished 2 compression tests before committing to the run and found 1.8 meters of very consolidated snow with no apparent weaknesses. I was surprised that the slope had not been affected by the sun. The only crust found was near some rock features.
