Quandary east ridge route to summit, ~13,000-14000 ft elevation on northeast-east facing slopes well above tree line. Heavy snow, 15-20 degrees F, with 20-30 mph winds from the south-west

Snowpack

Same aspect/elevation/location as above, noted shooting cracks and signs of instability in snow-pack on wind loaded north-east facing slopes below ridge-line. Ski cuts caused a small slab to break about 6-8 inches deep in new snow from recent storm.
