Snowpack
Wind stiffened hard slab with small cross-loaded sections of new snow. Not one turn was the same.
Avalanche
While cutting a notorious starting zone (E ) , it released a foot deep and 10 feet wide. These control cuts and the initial release are shown in the photos. This slab chunked up and stepped down pulling out a big swath of the center/right side of Nellie bowl to near the ground - this carried out through the couloir and most of the way out the apron. It piled approximately 8-12 feet deep at the toe.
