Avalanche
1m below established skintrack in small open slope at treeline at popular tree skiing area. Noticed 2 settlements while approaching treeline. Triggered while preparing a stance to do a snowpack shear test, noticed one whumpf with first stomp off track, second small stomp triggered propagation shear crack and slab avalanche. Skied safe trees afterwards staying away from open slopes, yet still triggered one more minor point release slab in open trees around treeline, same aspect.
