YAASUM Field Maintenance

YAASUM maintenance. Anemometer is back on line. A cold morning. Low density snow at TL remained generally sheltered from the outflow winds though wind slab was forming in certain exposed terrain features. Ski pen 20 - 30cm in sheltered areas. YAASUM 1050m - 1150m ridge top snow became wind effected with variable ski pen. Light to moderate northern outflow winds with active snow transport. Field Weather Observations: 0900 Fraser / YAAFRA clear sky, no precip, -24.4C, HS 76cm at weather plot, calm winds, valley fog (VF) 850 - 950m 1140 Log Cabin parking lot, clear sky, no precip, -25C, light northerly outflow winds gusting moderate with snow transport at surface. Valley fog from near lake surface to ~ 950m.
