Still some whumpfing in flat terrain that appears to be originating from the underlying rain crust failing, but less than last weekend. No other signs of instability. New snow was heavy and unconsolidated leading to slow travel. Easy foot penetration to waist on Beattie ridge when I accidentally stepped down while de-skinning.
