Amazing day at Destiny Ridge. Definitely some of the best turns of the season. Chilly but a bluebird day with little wind. We lapped Destiny twice then headed down the gully at Hilda. Saw a few other groups out touring as well. Snowpack was very solid, with about 40cm of fresh snow on a ~15cm storm slab that is very well consolidated to underling layers.
Snowpack
40cm of fluffy, fresh snow from the past week lying on a 15cm storm slab, which is well bonded to two underlying slabs (15cm & 10cm respectively). Non-planar gradual sluffing at 40cm with about CTM15. We gave the column a good whack afterwards and there was a planar break at 80cm, below the hardened lower storm slab, but it took a lot force. Snowpack seems well consolidated.
