Cloudburst West Route

Went up the steep trees West of Cloudburst but got cliffed out pretty quickly. Light snow all day with poor visibility. About 10cm of fresh snow lies on top of a hard crust.

We observed 10cm of new snow on top of a 4cm crust. There is another 5cm of sugary snow below this 4cm crust and then a large 20cm block of rain freeze crust. We brushed out the new snow and sugary snow in pictures 2 and 3 to better expose the 4cm and 20cm crusts. New snow sloughed off easily as we descended.
