Snowpack

The new pink snow sits on a firm and dusty old snow surface. Snow easily sluffed with ski pressure on steep terrain- only entraining new snow (D1). While new snow only averaged 4"-5", localized drifts of up to 18" could be found on lee terrain features near and above treeline. Snow was squeeky and spring-like even though skies were completely overcast. Overall, we continue to rapidly lose snow volume despite periodic snowstorms.
