Weather

Temperatures ranged from mid 30's to mid 40's at 11,000'. Light wind from the SW with an occasional stronger gust. Cloud cover ranged from scattered to overcast with high cirrus in the morning and lower clouds starting around 1130.

Snowpack

Surface freeze with a crust up to 10cms thick around 11800' on an E facing slope. Collapsing observed on the E facing terrain around West Roaring Fork. ECTP11 at interface of late April / Early May snow and old snow from before 4/26 down about 10" at 11800' congruent with obs from the more SE facing terrain down the road.

Avalanche

Small, shallow activity at West Roaring Fork yesterday and some today with one wet slab approaching D1.5 which did entrain deeper snow but still stopped short of the road. All activity aside from a few rollerballs was observed at the middle start zone below the upper bench.
