Snowpack

Pit was dug in a small E facing "meadow" on a ~15 degree slope below treeline at 10,800ft. Very top of the snowpack had some NSF from diurnal recrystallization from the clear nights the past few nights that will be buried by the storm coming in. Snow depths averaged 145-165 cm where probed. Basal facets were smaller and firmer with structure showing some possible rounding when compared to other pits dug this season. Experienced one CTH failure about 30cm down (taps 28 and 30) on separate CT tests. Pounding column did not create any other failures. See pit graph for details.
